JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Finance & Insurance Manager is responsible for coordinating the sale of finance & insurance programs to customers. This position works with the sales team and financial institutions to provide financial services to dealership customers.

 

Duties & Responsibilities within the finance department include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Selling and supporting the finance team on financing & insurance products to Dealership Name customers
  2. Leading and reaching goals on gross production _____ and product penetration_____ of financial products
  3. Current PVR, Product Penetration and department Profit will be updated daily on Progress Board
  4. Ensure all necessary documentation is complete for each deal (2nd preprinted retail order for every deal)
  5. Maintain Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company standards _____
  6. Communicate with finance team to ensure every customer is handled efficiently and professionally
  7. Support and maintain effective communication with team members and management staff
  8. Manage appropriately schedule and deal rotations (follow deal rotation process)
  9. Delivery process 100%. *All customers are called 24 hours prior to delivery date to confirm date and time frame. *Needed documents will be communicated to the customer. *Soft sell chemicals during phone conversation. * Deal will be billed out and approved 24 hours prior to delivery. * Customer will be checked off as per training standards on the delivery board.
  10. Accept Coaching and counseling when needed in a positive manner that will improve on areas of opportunities discussed by G.M., G.S.M. and Vanguard representative
  11. Follow and achieve a 90% level of performance within a 90-day cycle in the Vanguard PDP process (must maintain the 90% for each month)
  12. Work with sales managers to secure a reasonable profit from every sale in a legal manner
  13. Maintain a process in the department of offering vehicle financing to customers and providing them with a complete explanation of manufacturer procedures and policies
  14. Implement all program initiatives and processes within requested timeframes by G.M, G.S.M and Vanguard representative
  15. Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with organizational guidelines, local, state, federal regulations and laws governing business operations
  16. Promote that all deals are secure and finalize transactions in a legal and ethical manner while maintaining a high level of productivity
  17. Confirm that all submitted paperwork will obtain approval from finance sources on all finance deals 24 hours prior to delivery
  18. O deal list will be worked 100% and turned into the G.S.M. daily
  19. Submit all deals at the specific time set by the G.M. (24 hours prior to delivery date)
  20. Accurately prepare all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to the transaction and submit to the dealership’s Accounting Department in a timely manner as set by the G.M. (last day of the month all deals will be in the deal bin)
  21. Ensures necessary documentation for each deal is complete by utilizing a deal checklist
  22. Maintain outstanding funding concerns (funding list completed 100% daily). All deals must be funded within a 3 day cycle(any exceptions need G.M. approval in writing)
  23. Establish and maintain good working relationships with all finance sources and factory agents and Finance Managers
  24. Attend managers’ meetings when requested
  25. Punctuality, must be on time daily and stay until dismissed, must check out nightly with G.M.
  26. All business managers must communicate with the G.M. or G.S.M. before leaving the building
  27. Ensure sales information is recorded accurately and reported daily within the department in (Dealer Tool)
  28. Each night the Dealer Tool report will be turned into the G.M.
  29. Prepare weekly and monthly penetration reports for dealer management as requested by the G.M., G.S.M. and Vanguard representatives
  30. Monitor that all paperwork is correct for title, lien information, taxes, etc.
  31. Handle all rate quotations
  32. Establish and promote a positive relationship with customers as they are presented products and services (act as a liaison between the customer and the lending institution)
  33. Present and promote that all warranties, credit insurance, GAP insurance and other beneficial products offered by the dealership are presented 100% to every customer
  34. Utilize and maintain menu selling process 100% within the department
  35. Copies of all final menu’s and deal recaps need to be saved for monthly collections by Vanguard representatives
  36. Maintain a daily process, which will ensure a 100% turnover ratio to the F&I department
  37. Enhance and promote that customer satisfaction is expected during the entire purchase experience
  38. Complete monthly, quarterly, & year-end closings accurately and within reporting timelines
  39. Work closely with auditors on quarterly and annual audits to ensure that all Company policy and procedures are being adhered and accurately reported
  40. Formal work dress is expected daily and on free days to enable our employees to project the professional image that is in keeping with the needs of our clients and customers to trust us.   43. Proficient In ADP, Route 1, Econtracting , Menu Vantage, OFAC and Red Flag software used to complete deals
